I really want to see that movie.. it’s supposed to be really great. I’ll have to look up show listings… I also love watching movies on Tuesdays. The town where I grew up had “cheap Tuesdays” in the local theater. We could bring our own container (any size) and get it filled with popcorn for only 3.00… peope came with paper grocery bags and split it with groups of friends. Stuff like that makes going to the movies way more affordable.

Downtown Seattle has a designated Ride Free Area that basically spans most of downtown, which means you can ride any surface street bus route or the underground metro tunnel (light rail!) around in downtown for free during business hours. It’s small enough of a downtown district that you COULD walk, but taking the bus or metro saves a lot of time and makes it easier to get around. My apartment sits right on the end of that zone, so I walk one block and I’m on! It’s also probably the only part of my outrageously high taxes that I actually see the benefits for…
